It was the first time we stayed at the Rancho. What a nice experience! We were warmy welcome by hostess Jenny, a Canadian who has been living here for quite some time. She first took us to our room, then showed us around and let us meet the horses. We already went riding that first afternoon - and it was a great experience. The horses are well trained and there's one for everyone. We used to ride a lot when we were younger, but opted for a calm horse this first time. Apparently, you don't forget how to ride, even after 30 years! It's a bit like riding a bike.
If you are wondering if you should visit Rancho Las Cascadas, stop wondering and go. I just got back from an amazing week there. Staff, rooms, food, horses/riding, everything was superb!! I can't see enough about this place. The owner, Uschi, is fantastic and has excellent staff that run a 5 star ranch. There are currently 3 dogs there that are so very friendly, and if you show them attention, it's like having your own dogs for your vacation (which I personally loved) The horses are very well cared for and the ranch finds a horse to suit your needs. Lots of canters if you want to do them. Trip of a lifetime. Do it!!!!
Si quieres relajarte y estar aislado de la ciudad para tomar un respiro, es un excelente lugar. La atención fue muy buena y el staff estuvo al pendiente en cada momento , no tienes de que preocuparte pues tienes barra libre y comida muy rica . Regresare para poder montar ya que mi esposa está embarazada, el lugar realmente es una joya pues no es muy conocido y en la nueva normalidad el aforo es muy reducido. Lo recomiendo ampliamente y agradezco a Jen, Max y Ursula sus atenciones
Visited the Rancho summer of 22. Family of 4 and another family with us. Communication with Jenny in preparation for the trip was easy and she was very responsive and helpful. We arrived and felt welcome from the start and that the staff was all intent on making our vacation great. Max and his team of ranch hands were acutely attentive to our desires to ride and to properly match us with horses appropriate to each of us. With children in our group it was comforting to sense and see their alertness and abundance of caution regarding the safety of our younger riders.
An all around wonderful ranch experience. The horseback riding was great. Horses were very responsive. I started out slow at the beginning of the week and then by the end of the week was on one of their fast one. The terrain was beautiful and a lot of wide open spaces to run, no nose to tail riding. The food was the best Mexican food I have ever had and every day it was different. You were even able to request food options. I ate everything, but they accommodated just about any guest dietary needs.
